On February 21, 2016, the 399th Army Band, alongside the Missouri University of Science and Technology bands, held their annual joint concert at the Leach Theater in Rolla, MO. The combined concert fostered the continued relationship between the 399th Army Band, Missouri S&T, and the local community.

The group band was comprised of the 399th Army Band directed by Warrant Officer 1 Benjamin McMillan, the Missouri S&T Wind Symphony, and the Missouri S&T Symphonic Band directed by U.S. Army 1st Sgt. (retired) David Cress.

Musical selections were performed by a combination of the individual groups as well as joint groups between the three bands. All three groups shared the stage to perform Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, a Symphonic Suite written by Michael Kamen and made popular by the 1991 Kevin Costner film to conclude the show.

The concert was well received by those in attendance, and the bands are looking forward to future performance opportunities to continue their community outreach.
